Turbo Celica ST185

 The alignment is fixed now, though it is a bit out of spec , i think the shock absorber is somewhat damaged from the crash, but it performs ok. Took it to dealers to set the alignment, also did diagnostics, but they said there is nothing wrong with the suspension. Yeah right. The rear trailing arm bushing has a bit of play, the front hub joint is making terrible noises, the CV joints pop on both left/right turns but that`s a minor problem. I think the front bearing is a bit worn out after the crash and driving the car without alignment. It seems to make a hauling sound, but it`s pretty quiet, so I`m not sure if it`s really the bearing.. I got terrible low frequency sqeaking noise on the left front wheel. No idea where it`s from, but probably the shock absorber or spring supporting rubber or upper rubber mount. If not, then maybe some bushing has dried out. I have to find some good garage to test all the chassis and suspension problems, but so little time and money now. I prefer to drive the car around in my free time not to fix it :)

I bought a power inverter from ebay to convert 12V to 220V. Used it to charge laptop. after 30 mins some fuse was blown, still need to check, but i think it`s some low amp fuse that i just wired in, since I have rewired the car cigarette lighter port.

I already got used to the new wheels - Toora T950. It took a week or two to get used to R17 wheels after R15. I still haven`t decided wether I should buy R15 wheels/tires for the winter, since I will still go driving on frozen lakes and country side snowy roads. I`m not sure if R17 tires would be good for winter traction :/ Since I already have R15 tires, I have to choose wether to buy R17 winter tires for the Toora rims or buy R15 wheels for the winter tires.

I made some structure changes for the website. Now the modifications page URLs include "/cars/bo-st185/", in case I have another celica in future or some other latvian celica owner wants to post about his/her celica. It`s good for google SEO also :)
