"Zero-1000" oil temperature gauge by Top Fuel.
Bought it in San Diego, at Panda Garage. A bad surprise was when I got home and installed it, since it appeared to have green backlight. My other gauges have white/blue background light.
Oil temp gauge is really needed for st185, since our cars get very hot and it`s not healthy to turn off car while the oil is hot. It`s not enough to wait 30-60seconds and hope that the temps fall down fast. Actually once in winter I waited for 20 minutes while the temps went down from 115 Celsius to 100 C.
And of course, I need to know the oil temperature if it is warm enough to floor the gas pedal..
The gauge has built-in warning - it flashes when the oil reaches user set temperature. I set mine at 117C.
It also has that always advertised "opening ceremony". whatever that means, it seems to deal with gauge needle self-configuration.
I already had a filter adapter (sandwich) to mount the oil temperature sensor. Wiring and gauge mounting was pretty much the same as HKS EVC installation.
I have also installed a switch to control power to the oil temp gauge (and other gauges too) to switch it off if it gets disturbing at night..
