Turbo Celica ST185

The car is almost fixed now. Changed shock absorber (KYB), all three rear arms, and the whole hub. Hub is from st205. It has longer wheel studs (don`t fit some wheels, e.g.

Crashed my Celica a bit, while drifting on wet tarmac. Hit the curb. Front wheel got hit, but the damage was minimal. Still needs alignment. The rear got hit harder. the bumper is damaged, rear fender lightly damaged. and the wheel was in 45 degree angle. the rim is gone. trailing arms were totally bent. So we fixed the trailing arm a bit with a hammer, installed the spare wheel to get the car to garage. pics/video below:

Changed oil and filter. Oil is Castrol (Edge Sport / Formula RS) 10W-60. I chose it since the 3sgte keeps the oil very hot, 100-120 degrees Celsius. Let`s see how it performs, previous was Motul X-cess 8100 5w-40. By the way, a few days ago I did some donuts and some circle laps drifting on wet tarmac, the oil temp went up to 125 degrees. Checked - no oil lost at all.

A while ago i got another intake box and cut the bottom part of it. I just wanted to see how it performs, if it would 1) suck all hot air out of engine bay 2) have better flow. I really need at least some iphone with power diagnostic to get some proof :/ I can feel that I have a lot less power on the car than a year ago or so. Fuel consumption has increased. Idle has increased to ~1000rpm, sometimes even 1200. For now I put back original air intake box and cold air intake.

I attended training at the drag strip. Did some 5 runs I guess. Best time I could get at 1/8 mile was 10.915. I could write some 0.5 sec off because of shifting problems caused by destroyed synchros, but the car didn`t feel good. I think the ARC cooler gets too hot while waiting for the start.

2 months ago I replaced the st182 bumper with the st185 original. When having the st182 bumper, I sold the original st185 fog lights. So now I had to get some new ones. Ordered them from a member of alltrac.net.

A friend is parting out his JDM st185 and I decided to swap my rear cloth seats to leather ones. pics below:

I wanted to fit the FMIC, but it was too little time, so on a sunny weekend I decided to do some paint jobs. I already had ordered two cans of "Rust Bullet" from USA from an alltrac.net member. A year ago I did already paint the side  underpanels, but the paint didnt hold very well for the salty winter, so a few spots appeared. Lots of pics:
